I avsnittet pratar vi om traumatisering som kan resultera i akuta stressreaktioner och vad som skiljer dem från PTSD - Posttraumatiskt stressyndrom. Människors förutsättningar att hantera traumatiska erfarenheter varierar kraftigt och behandlingsansatser behöver anpassas till det. För att förstå, diagnosticera och på rätt sätt behandla en människa som bär på trauma krävs kunskap om vilken djupgående och bestående påverkan på en människas fungerande trauman har.
